By a son of Snitzel, In The Congo was a high-class racehorse himself, winning over 1100m and 1400m and competing with distinction at the elite level. He combines speed, toughness and class, and his pedigree suggests his progeny will be well suited to Australian racing conditions.
The colt is out of Chipanda (by Sepoy), a talented two-year-old winner and stakes performer, who placed in the Group 3 Widden Stakes. She comes from a deep, proven family and is a three-quarter sister to stakes winners Rusambo and Handfast, while the wider family features multiple Group and Listed performers across generations
Physically, this colt is a sharp, athletic type with excellent balance and natural presence. He shows the scope and strength to develop into a competitive racehorse, with the pedigree pointing to success from sprinting trips through to a strong mile.
The colt is paid up for the $20m Magic Millions Race Series and will be aimed at the $3m 2YO Classic in January 2027.
